Terrain Endurance

The essence of Terrain Endurance utilizes strength for long slow work or 'big days.'  An example of a big day might be a day of hiking in the mountains over challenging terrain.  Such a day may push the boundaries of your fitness such as a 10 hour hike that may climb several thousand feet.  Another example of Terrain endurance may be three days of consecutive long runs, i.e. a ten mile run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
